TCP connection

Post by yiweibo »

Hi
I'm new to ActiveView and trying to use the TCP Client. the client used is ActiveTwoClient_8. I use a router to connect two computers, I don't konw if it has a problem to do like this. Once I start the program, there is a error : the network operation exceeded the user specified or system time limit.
If I should connect two computers using a cable directly.
help!
thanks very much!

And the error will also appear when I use TCP server on the same PC.

The problems are probably caused by specifying an incorrect Server Address (computer name or IP number) in the TCP-client. Please start by testing with ActiView and TCP-Client on the same PC, and specifying "localhost" as the server computer name. Also check that server and client use the same port (and that the port is not blocked).

Hi coen
the same error also appears when I start by testing with ActiView and TCP-Client on the same PC, and I do specify "localhost" as the server computer name. And the default port is 778, I didn't change it on the server and client panels.
And I do the TCP connection on the condition that no EEG signal is collected.
I really can't figure out what the problem is.
If any other configuration should I do to solve this problem like channel number or something else.
thank you very much for your reply!

The TCP/IP connection only works when ActiView is running and collecting data.
