Re: Best way to connect a generator to the active electrodes
If you want to check the gain specifications of the ActiveTwo system, then you can do this with the two-bucket test: You will need the following: - signal generator - 2 passive AgAgCl electrodes that can be connected to the output of the signal generator. - 2 plastic buckets or 2 glass bowls (never ...

Re: Persistent connection issue with New USB2 Receiver (Win11)
The USB2 Receiver is always problematic when it comes to the "first time" connection upon unplugging. This is tough because we have to move the computer from one part of the office to another in order to test. I think you do not mean the USB Receiver, but you mean the BioSemi USB Trigger Interface....

Re: ActiView does not work after Windows 10 update
If the BioSemi USB Receiver is not listed in the Device manager, then it might be that it is detected as an unknown device. If you unplug the USB Receiver and plug it in again, then you can see in the Device manager what device is added. I assume that your Receiver was working correctly on this W10 ...

Re: correct way to wire a GSR sensor test?
Coen means that you should press the AgAgCl tips of the CMS, the DRL and 1 of the GSR electrodes together. In practice, this will be difficult, because you may absolutely not use any metals when doing this. When metals will touch the AgAgCl tips, the tip will be contaminated with metal particles and...

Dear Jasna,
Electrode sets with Red Rubber strain relief can be cleaned and handled exactly the same way as the older electrode sets without the Red Rubber.

Re: Odd ~17Hz noise in all channels
No, that is not possible.
Only 1 CMSDRL cable can be inserted at the time.
If you plug -in a P32 set with CMSDRL into the A SCSI connector, than you can not also plug-in a CMSDRL cord into the front CMSDRL input.
Why would you like to use the front CMSDRL cord?

Re: Problem with 32 channel headbox / EKG
Dear Juliette, First you need to know how many channels are installed in SCSI connector C1-32. You can find out how many hardware channels are installed inside your AD-box by running ActiView. Select the 'Offset' page in ActiView with no electrode sets inserted in the AD-box. When a channel is insta...

CMSDRL FLAT is the ordercode. There is no image of the CMSDRL FLAT on the website. For EEG we advise Signa gel. For all ECG/EMG/EOG measurements we advise Elefix. The skin on the chest, arms and legs is more difficult to penetrate and make contact with. That is why for ECG/EMG/EOG, a stronger gel is...

Re: Using electrodes when wet
You can actually just re-use the electrodes without washing. Washing an electrode set while there is still gel on the electrodes, can result in a 'wattery' layer which worsens contact with the skin or with a second layer of gel. In other words: the water makes the surface of the gel very slippery. I...

Re: Caps for Infants Not Fitting According to Head Circumfer
Infant head circumferences vary quite a lot, even when the infants are of the same age. What is the median head circumference of your 6 month olds? I know of a lab that tried the Infa3 caps on 6 months olds, but they said those were to small. So it looks like Infa2 (38-42 cm) should be the right siz...

Giorgio, I just tried a Large headcap on a subject with 40 cm preauricular distance. I must admit that I also found that T7 and T8 are located a bit too high with respect to the preauricular points. Giorgio, you are using a headcap which is too small. If I understand correctly, since your subject has 40 cm distance between the 2 preauricular points, the 2 cap holders (T7 and T8) right above the 2 preauricular points should be at 4 cm distance of these 2 preauricular points, but you measured the...

Caps can be cleaned with warm or hot water. If necessary, you can use some shampoo. The caps are not really sensitive for cleaning materials. Just let them soak in warm water, this will make the cleaning process easier/faster. Electrodes can be rinsed with tap water without any risk. As long as the ...
