pin connections of the connectors on the AD-box

I'd like to connect flat cable into pin connections and then connect electrode patch with flat cable. In frequency qusetion, there is explaination about 68 pin SCSI connector. 32 pin is only for channel but the rest (5V) is for what? Is it for shield of the 32 channel? If it is for shield, how to connect coaxial wire ? and Is coaxial flat cabel existed?
If the rest of pin is none of the function, can I remain wire (just cut)?
